Xtra PC : does it work?

When our laptops and desktop computers get older year after year, they also become slower and less reliable. While the operating system, programs, and files on your hard drive won't be affected by running Linux from a flash drive, you won't be able to access them while running the Linux OS. And you will be limited to running programs available for your Linux-based OS. The programs they offer on the flash drive are free and easy to download yourself. Here's another Xtra-PC review online if you want.

Despite many claims that Linux is an open-source OS so it's free to download and install yourself, the USB stick performs very well for us. It can be used even if you're not tech savvy so don't feel overwhelmed by the technicalities when setting it up. So far, we're really happy with it because it breathes life to our veteran computers like it was newly bought.

I have used Linux Mint for the past few years to keep my aging PC going and it is my preferred OS. It can be a bit intimidating at first to set up, however a quick google search will give all the answers without having to learn code, just copy and paste.

Linux is the solution, but unfortunately only a few of us, are skilled enough to install it properly on our machines, so we've only two options: bring them to a computer repair shop and ask to get Linux installed, and this will cost us about $200, or look for alternative solutions.

Well, Yes¦ Linux is an open source operating system, so you can download various versions of it for free and load it onto a properly-formatted flash drive BUT I wouldn't recommend tackling this sort of thing on your own unless you're a pretty hard-core, tech-savvy, do-it-yourself-er with free time to burn.

I am retired and have lot's of time on my hands now.I will make sure everyone knows about about this on Facebook, Media, and I will advertise on majors news media, cost is know problem.I trusted these people and all there third-party associates like Giddy Up and other companies that just contact our service, like pulling teeth.

Built on the proven foundation of Linux, it bypasses the old, slow, bloated Windows operating system to make your PC into a blazing fast, high-performance PC with a new, simple to use, operating system that has the familiar look and feel of your Windows PC or Mac OSX.

With the control functions defined within xtra-pc-control-control values for commands are simply passed through as arguments in the appropriate data types (constants defined within xtra-pc-control-api can be used where required) and the control functions do the hard work.

All-in-all, it seems as though this product is a good choice for people who want an older computer or laptop to be able to perform the most basic - and most popular - actions of computers, and since they provide a 30 day Refund Policy, even though it is strict, many customers can feel comfortable trying this product for themselves before making a final decision.

On first boot, Xtra-PC walked me through an easy one-time setup process, during with it automatically installed the correct drivers and software to run all my hardware correctly (CD or DVD-ROM, display, webcam, etc.), including my wireless internet adapter and all other stuff.

Come back in a week for the next post!
